Property Details

Totally Wicked Stadium, home to St Helens RLFC, is a state of the art sports venue developed alongside a Tesco Extra superstore.

The site is a former glassworks site on the edge of St Helens Town Centre and Network Space obtained planning consent in 2009 for the development of a sports stadium and 145,000 sq ft supermarket.

The transformation of a derelict site into an 18,000 capacity stadium and Tesco superstore was aided by the redevelopment of the existing Tesco site in the town centre, as well as the redevelopment of St Helens RLFC’s former ground for residential use.

The whole scheme was successfully delivered in autumn 2011, in partnership with St Helens MBC and the North West Development Agency.
