Network Space and partners have been shortlisted for a North West Property Award. The company’s flagship Glass Futures development is one of seven in with a chance of winning the Purpose-led Innovation Award

Celebrating their 25th year, these annual awards are a celebration of the property industry in the North West. More than 1,000 people are expected to attend this sold-out event on Thursday, 11 May 2023 at Manchester Central.

This year's finalists were chosen after a lengthy and robust judging process where all vested interests and potential conflicts were declared. In addition to the judging session, Insider canvassed the views of the industry by holding separate discussion sessions with a number of last year's winners and other respected sector experts.

Following an innovative multi-partnered public private funding structure, conceived by Network Space, practical completion was reached in March 2023. The Glass Futures development will provide the world’s first openly accessible test and trial facility for experiments with different energy sources, raw materials and technologies to reduce the carbon footprint of glass production.

It will create 80 jobs once fully operational, delivering a GVA benefit to the region of almost £120million. The partnership and commercial delivery model has unlocked the delivery of a unique and significant development of worldwide interest that will raise the profile of St Helens. It was a flagship project for UKRI at COP22.
