Denton Wellness Centre, a £14m leisure scheme in Tameside being developed by Network Space, has been given the green light.

A development in the heart of Denton, the facility will bring an eight-lane competition swimming pool, learner pool, spa area, fitness suite and ten-pin bowling alley to the town.

The centre, which has been designed by Pozzoni Architecture to be accessible by all, also comprises a range of community facilities, including meeting rooms, children’s soft play area and multi-use studio spaces.

The development is being delivered for Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council and following completion of the facility, will be managed by the Council’s leisure operator.

Willmott Dixon has been appointed for the construction which is expected to begin on-site later this year and is set to be constructed over 15 months.

Network Space has been providing industrial workspace, office and leisure schemes for over 35 years and have previously delivered the St Helens Rugby League stadium. The Company has a development pipeline that extends to 2.5 million sq ft over the next five years.
